Fchoolmafter Chrif,

I'm not sure about all the undergarment stuff you are talking about...Being an 18th century reenactor, having daughters who are also around camp, the ladies in the British Highland camp wear hose, chemise (or shift), possibly a petticoat (if cold), a skirt, stays (but not always), and shortgown, bonnet on head with possibly a straw hat....Bloomers?? aren't they 19th century, lots of buttons?? They have hooks and eyes which I belive are correct. But, please correct me if I'm wrong on this....remember, these are 18th century British Highland ladies, not rich and fashionable. But, several of the ladies in our regiment are very knowledgeable of this stuff.

I'm here to learn also.

Pax Aye!

Dr. Uncle Mark
