: : THANK YOU ERIC!!!!!!

: You'll get no argument from Mama Marcia...Eric's been MY hero since Gathering Number 1, when he single-handedly pulled, pushed, shoved, cajoled and wheedled me into making it all the way to the top of Table Rock! I will never forget my astonishment and joy at finding myself on that lovely spot! And I owe it all to my "Adopted White Son," Eric! The only thing more emotional for me was being at that same spot THIS year to watch Eric propose to Sharon. *sigh* What a memory!!

: PS...I'm not sure how this thread got buried under the Big Earring Switch topic...???...Maybe we should start over at the top of the page with some more Gathering stories. I could use a few to brighten my day. It's been a tad rainy & gloomy here, and I'm now paranoid about lightening, doncha know.

Marcia,

Paranoid about lightening? Paranoid about LIGHTENING? I started chuckling to myself. Pictured you with a streak of white hair down the middle of your head - like the guy in The Great Outdoors (John Candy and What's his name, remember?) who
was struck by lightening 66 times!! Next I suppose you will be telling us the story about the gator with the bald streak on the top of his rough head, eh?
