Well, this is my last day in Phoenix. Have to head home later today but plan on coming back SOON. There is so much to see out here. We spent a beautiful day in the Superstitions, Tortilla Flats, Dutchman's Park, etc. Unfortunately trekking around was limited when friend's truck decided to lose air-conditioning. So I spent all day Tuesday at the Heard Museum in Phoenix. This museum is entirely devoted to Native American art and history, and is truly fantastic. Everything from a huge exhibit on the complete history of all the Arizona tribes, to a marvelous kachina doll collection, contemporary art, and a special display of Inuit drawings and sculpture. One of those places where you go intent on spending two hours and end up there for six...A must for anybody who cares about Native American history and experience, and just plain likes a great museum!
