I really enjoyed all the comments that the responses to the DOI piece sparked. It's good to know that History is not dead.

I agree with the comment about Lewis and Clark. Theirs is one of the great journies of US history. With as many perils as they faced, it is amazing that they even lived to tell their story. At the same time, theirs was an enviable situation in which they were the first of their culture to see many of the peoples and territories of the West. It's truly an epic journey.

P.S. Please advise as to when and where the program on the founding fathers is to run. I'd really like to see it.
