: : Okay.......I am not too embarrassed to admit it............I got to the end of your post Rich and went............"huh?" I am not sure where you are headed with your 'ramblings' but you are scarin' me man!!!

: Not suprised, Adele. Don't be scared. Even I don't know exactly where I was headed. I can tend to just "emotionate' ... yeah, new word. It means, "speak with emotions, rather than words." Oh yeah, they LOOK like words, but REALLY they're emotions. How am I doing, Doc?

: "I wish that I could watch the movie through your eyes." ... Eric Hurley ... his last words in our interview with him. I know how he felt!

: Sometimes, I wish that I could enjoy the Board as you all do. It's SO much different on this side of the controls.

: I promise, I will elaborate on all this ... sometime.

Wow, Rich, after reading your post the first thing that comes to my mind is "I'm glad I'm not alone..." at least in rambling. I spent three hours on Saturday sitting on the beach with a friend and between finishing "Cold Mountain" we both sat there and talked about how in limbo we're feeling in our careers (both journalism...) I've been suffering horrible writers' block as well as dealing with all the family issues this year and we sat there and rambled about how we'd both like to take a year off and go somewhere and read for a you weren't alone in rambling this weekend....although mine wasn't on this Web site.

I just thought I'd take a few lines to tell you how much this Site that you and Elaine provide has meant to me since I stumbled in here in May. Mohicanland has, in many very real ways, helped to keep me sane and laughing in the face of some very real pain this year. Plus I've learned a lot and "met" people who I am dying to now know in person. I've discussed films and books and music, taken on the character of "Red" and organized several nights of good-natured hoo-haaa for everybody, and even been "courted' by a lad named Dweebie. Like Adele I'm kicking my own butt because I couldn't get to any of the Gatherings, and I pray very often that there will be one next year because meeting all of you would be a wonderful wonderful thing.
Anyway, just my input. Thanks for what you do and what you've given one of your newest "mohicanlanders..."
pax aye and a big dram o'Glenlivet to ya,
Christina/the Red Haired Lass
