: ::Rich--Thanks for all the info to chew over! I didn't add it in my survey, but some time a trip to the actual Cooper locations would be a dream come true! Maybe a mini-Gathering for those just interested in the Cooper end of things would be possible sometime in the future?! Also, even though I had my opinions stated in the survey, they were just that--opinions. Quite frankly, locations really don't factor into whether we attend or not. Pretty much--if there's a Gathering,we'll be there--no matter where we stay or visit! One snag IS the Little Big Horn anniversary. We will be attending that and we have yet to figure out if two major trips in June will be financially and physically possible. One way or the other we'll see you next year. If not in NC, then at Crow Agency!
: Thanks again for your and Elaine's continuing efforts!--Your loyal PP (and AA)!

I'm Not one to try to discourage anyone to take a trip to the Lake George Territory BUT if you are considering actual expense here, you are talking TOURIST TRAP Extravaganza!!!
Please don't get me wrong, it truly is a nice place to visit but
you have to realize, It Is New York!
I have spent summers there when I seen the Northern Lights, not one year but two in a row! Talk about lucky, I actually got the right week for the light show, since it was only that one night of the one week I stayed there. Believe me I had my sister and all of her 5 kids looking up at the sky every single night they spent there(they own a house up on the mountain! I'm just a poor relation.)and they all said that "The Lights" where waiting for me!
What a laugh, Mother Nature waiting for me...yeah, Their NUTZ!
Getting back to what I was saying, there is a lot of history there and some may enjoy the touristy trappings but if you want to see the beauty of what it was in the past, it's a guaranteed disappointment. It ain't happening there! I knew I should have brought my pic's of the place with me to the Gathering 2000 when I visited Lake George last October...well anyway, I'd rather see the movie locations and if any of the rest are interested in seeing the actual sites maybe they should coinsider Lake George as a trip they would like to make a real vacation out of because There, you have it all!
Sorry for going on so, please forgive my ramblings.

Stay Strong with Love, Kathleen
