Evenin', Sheriff Twigg. Stopped by to let ye know I found some bear tracks outside my cabin this mornin'. Looks like a she-bear, and not a very big one, at that, but it's just as well to keep track o' what varmints wander in close to town. It appears she came down along the river - - probably lookin' for food, since it's so dry up in the mountains. Maybe I can get me a nice pelt for tradin'. Anyway, if ye see anything o' the creatur', be sure and let me know. Can't have these animals rovin' around town gettin' into the garbage and scarin' the ladies.
