Best we can do is Jim Finnegan ... Very likely, he's an "unknown" extra who got lucky enough to get caught on film!

: : I'm trying to identify the handsome, dark-haired actor who plays an officer seen early in the battle scene at Fort W.H. I think he's Brit -- we don't see much of his uniform.
: : As the lead characters approach the fort he is looking out over the ramparts with concern, apparently watching the French trench-diggers. He has two brief close-ups. He may be the same character who then commands the firing of a cannon, but with his face contorted with "Fire!" I can't be sure.

: Hi, Linda...I think the actor you are speaking of is the British soldier who is directing the cannon (?) fire at the French troops. He is seen watching them by the light of a flare sent up, and then shortly thereafter, using his hand to indicate to his men where to aim the cannon, and shouting "Fire!" The problem is, I don't know who the actor is, or if he's identified by more than a designation such as our own Soldier #2. Rich, can you help, here?

: I would not have described him as dark-haired, thinking he was blonde or sandy-haired, myself...but maybe I'll have to go look again. I WOULD have described him as nice-looking, though. And I always like the look of concern on his face as he wonders how he is going to make any headway in stopping the French. He looks pretty worried, to say the least.

: Not much help, but at least you know that some of us know who you mean, anyway. At least, I THINK I do...can anyone else help out, here?

: MMMMarcia
