: : Now, children, listen to what I have planned for the afternoon. We're all going to take our little picnic baskets and go for a walk down along the river and see if we can find the place where the little Gnome lives. Would you like that? Of course! That's what First Grade is all about - a chance to learn about nature and the small creatures that live in the woods around your home. We must remember to be very careful and not disturb any of the creatures in the forest, but to make friends with them. So we are going to take some honey buns along to feed to the pretty little birdies as we go, and some carrots, in case we see a bunny or two. Doesn't that sound like fun? Come along now. Let's see - one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, - - - where's Alice? Oh there she is, crying in the corner - - don't be afraid, dear. No, bunnies don't bite. All right - ten! Are we all together? Let's set out for a lovely afternoon.

: Just watch out for all of the bent twigs.....don't step on them!

And don't take them too close to close to the Mohicanland
Clinic, Miss Cooper -- Doc M and the Hurons will be
sunbathing and playing volleyball this afternoon, and
the little tots might learn more about nature than
you intended!
