Sorry, chipmunks in Florida. Too hot or something, but they don't live down here, unless one or two might be found in the very northernmost corner, and I doubt even there. We have two varieties of squirrels, the gray & the Sherman's Fox Squirrel. What you are seeing are gray squirrels. I spent too many years working at Florida Audubon not to have a fair knowledge of Florida's critters, though I learn new stuff every day, still. I used to raise orphaned birds, squirrels, possums, and other critters, for several years. Wanna know about a bird or critter in your Mother Nature! All my neighbors did! ;o)
