: Stop tryin' so hard, Christina! I'm a firm believer in doing what nature intended us to do, and it's evident by our TEETH that we were designed to be omnivores...namely, we are SUPPOSED to eat meat AND veggies. Take a look at our canines...deer don't have 'em, ya know. And take a look at our molars...not designed to process enormous amounts of grass & leaves. Our teeth are a nice blend between those of carnivores and those of herbivores. Makes sense to me.

: Now, to be sure, the American diet today is composed of WAY more meat than our earlier ancestors would ever have been lucky enough to have in their diets, and it's a good bet that we should eat a much higher percentage of veggies than we might be accustomed to. But to eat no meat at all is to go against what our "designer" planned for us to do, if you ask me. Not meaning to start any argument, here, just stating what looks to be common sense to me, and what my rationalization is for eating anything that "don't eat me first" as an old man once said to me.

MMMM: You left out multiple stomachs. Most grazing animals have more than one stomach in which to process all that green stuff. One acception is the horse (just happen to know this), which is why they're such picky eaters. NightSky
