: Rich, I would sincerely hope that my post did not bring about this question, rhetorical or otherwise.  If so, then I guess I'm getting pretty bad at communicating.  All I wanted to do was suggest that maybe, just maybe, the barrage of Marie de Merle posts were counterproductive in their presentation.  And as I said, that was ONLY my opinion.  Others may not have felt that way.  

: As for as liking or not liking the book, it looked to me as though there were as many on one side as the other, or even as many who like the genre as those who don't.  And my comments weren't directed to the issue of liking or not liking, but to the issue of whether or not it's possible to be carried away a bit by enthusiasm.

: I honestly don't see why any of this discussion should be cause for thinking the board has outlived its usefulness.
