: : I just found out an interesting bit of news about my family history. Turns out my great-grandmother Bohall was...was MOHICAN! Stockbrige, even! Can you believe it?!? The Bohall name was used when all the Native Americans were being evacuated from Indiana in the early 1800's. The Bohall name, as well as, this family, is not German. Nope. They were French before they were Mohican! It all makes perfect sense now. My strange attachment to Chingachgook. My feeling of de ja vous when I read Eclair's posts. I'm not weird, it's just my genes. Wooohooo! What a relief!

: Hi Dana,

: Wow, that's quite an interesting bit of news! Were you researching your family's background/history?

: ...Jeri

Hey, Jeri!

I am so fortunate. My Uncle on my father's side traced our family back to Pochantas and farther. My brother is working on my mother's side and has just recently come up with this lastest bit about the Mohicans. There are some more interesting things concerning this Mohican link, but they're not confirmed. I wouldn't bore you all with them anyway.:) I just thought this was a humorous and interesting coinky-dink.
