It's not that the Irish are cynical. It's rather that they have a wonderful lack of respect for everything and everybody.

Well, Dave and I just got back from our weekend break in Dublin, Eire. It is the first time that I have been to Ireland, and I can heartily recommend it - marvellous culture, wonderful people, great beer and whiskey (according to Dave......cos, as you know, I never touch the stuff!), and a lively atmosphere. All you could want for a getaway-from-it-all break.

Anyway, I missed you guys, even though it has only been a couple of days! And I thought that I had better warn you that one of my little purchases was an Irish Tin Whistle, which, unlike my flute, will probably find its way into my suitcase for the next gathering! A frightening prospect, to be sure!
