________

Dr. Uncle Mark;
(Hah! And I thought I was, with my sons the only one yelling out answers to the "Millionaire" show, of which I barely have time to watch!)
Not a usual topic on the board; but I'll beat (wrong word) Doc M to the punch (oh my another wrong word here....)...Have to have some reason to keep my 2 foot stack of LOTM stuff instead of pitching it!
(And Red Leaf! Maybe he tripped over said stack of LOTM stuff on his way to further Mayhem....does this count???)

The Poem for his Newborn:

"Welcome to earth, my child!
Joybells of blossoms swing,
Lamb and lovers have their fling,
The streets run wild
With April airs and rumours of the sun.
We time-worn folk renew
Ourselves at your enchanted spring,
As though manking's begun
Again in you.
This is your birthday and our thanksgiving."

(From the New Yorker Magazine, July 5, 1992, pages 15 through whatever....my zerox's don't always have the page number; I think it's page 18 this poem is on;)(I've learned my lesson about sources....)

Jo
Glad to be able to use my stack of LOTM stuff.....
Doc M, if this is different than your poem; so be it. Let me know.
