The North Carolina Council of State meets today at 4pm to consider action on the 2200 acres around High Falls, Triple Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls.
We have heard reliable reports that developer Jim Anthony has been busy subdividing his remaining 1800 acres into several tracts and selling them to his various investment groups. If true, such extreme action would tend to increase the urgency for decisive action in Raleigh today.
If you have not contacted the Council of State lately, PLEASE do so now before it is too late. Thank them for their continued support, and ask them to take decisive action today!
Thanks for your support.
: Please keep Riverwalk in your thoughts today! I will be attending the COS meeting in Raleigh and reporting back to FOF at meetings end. You can expect that dupontforest.com will be updated sometime this evening. If you have not done so, please email Gov. Hunt and other COS members asking them to condemn this land and protect it from development. If you live in NC please also call the Governor's office @ 800-662-7952 and say you support the Gov's action of eminent domain. Email addresses for all COS members are as folows:
