I have been recently studying Crazy Horse and I had forgotten about this movie-can't wait to check it out again...  and Rodney Grant in a loincloth, too!....oh my,...it's the little things in life that make it worthwhile...

: : : : I had heard about the movie, but have been unable to find it in the local video stores.  Doesn't it focus mostly on Custer?  I wouldn't mind watching it if just to compare how each movie portrays the battle and the participation of each of the major players (i.e., Crazy Horse, Custer, etc.).

: : : Son of the Morning Star, which is a made-for-TV movie, can be difficult to find.  I purchased it from CDNow and they had to special order it.  Here’s the plot summary from IMDB.com:

: : : “The life of George Armstrong Custer comes alive in this made for television movie. The story accurately follows the facts, only straying from the truth in its suggestion that Custer may have fostered an illegitimate Indian child, a myth which has since been proven false. “

: : : It’s well worth the effort to try and track down a copy of the movie because it’s well made.   The movie’s bound to be aired again on TV.  I’ll post a message on the board if I found out that it’s going to be aired again.

: Interesting that you should mention Crazy Horse. After watching Michael Greyeyes in Crazy Horse (who by the way is heart stopping in a loincloth!!) I decided to find some information on the real man. There are a number of sites out there, but the link below will take you to a comprehensive, factual bio of Crazy Horse. One little bit of information I did read somewhere was that Crazy Horse was a very handsome man, but would never allow pictures to be taken of himself. I guess we'll just have to imagine him looking like Michael or Rodney huh? LOL
