Huzzah for the gnome's latest review...I said all this way back when Patriot first came out and I'm not sure it was appreciated!! As a British Highlander reenactor (and former Colonial reenactor who still does longhunter), you don't know how many times we had to listen to the public this summer after Patriot came out, "So you burn churches with God-fearing people in them!...So, you shoot little boys!....So, one man and his two young sons can wipe out a whole British regiment!!" Fabricated history, that's what it is!! And, I still say, the worst of it is that a fictional character (Gibson playing Martin) gets credit for Dan Morgan's excellent strategy to win the battle of Cowpens! Fie on you Mel, for not crediting one of our greatest American heroes (Morgan)....you had the chance to teach history to the public and you blew it! ...Ok, ok, I'll stop!!
