I am going to have to watch it yet again. But I am pretty sure the stock profiles of both Ching and Uncas guns are of muskets.

: Having only watched LOTM about 10 times, and never noticing exactly what Uncas and Chingachgook are carrying, I would be interested in also knowing if their "rifles" were similar to Hawkeye's which was crafted by Wayne Watson (see MacWm. Chrons photos as Tales, Seamus and I are with Mr. Watson in one of them).....for Uncas and Ching were surely carrying "rifles" not muskets and, of course, Pennsylvania rifles they would be!!
