: Hmmmm ...

: I don't know! I can start, I guess, with an apology. Never did get out, after returning from Linville Gorge on Friday, to pick up my photos of the fire's aftermath. Will get there sooner or later, scan them (some, at least) & post.

: Don't know what I have ... I suppose it's the flu ... but it has me feeling quite out of it. Luckily, I had a 4 day weekend. So between naps, I've tinkered on the computer ...

: What's New? The 2001 Great Mohican Gathering page is coming along nicely, mostly because the behind-the-scenes planning is going nicely. A big old hug & thank you for those who are helping. You KNOW who you are! We have some stuff in the "Gee I sure hope THIS pans out" stage ... If any or all of it does come to be ... it'll be grand! BUT, I caution, it's not a done deal(s), so ...

: An audio clip from our Russell Means interview is now up. Coupled with last week's Mike Phillips clip, and along with five video clips, that gives us a nice little - growing - collection. Was planning a new video, but technical difficulties got in the way. A belated "thanks" to Vince ... glad you enjoyed them. And, just when I thought nobody gave a damn! In addition, the Kittanning/Ligonier pages have been added to. In the not-too-distant future, we'll be expanding our History Pages to give more overview/background to the events at Fort William Henry ... placing it, and thus the story of "The Last of the Mohicans" ... in a historical context. The Kittanning stuff will help us do just that.

: So ... hmmmm ... ah, a little discussion on the Board yesterday opens the door for me to do this ... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many people assume, when writing us or posting on the Board, that this site is primarily the work of one. Me. Rich. Uh-uh ... NOTHING could be further from the truth! Why is this? I really don't know, other than, especially in the last year & a half, I am the more visible one. This really is a 50-50 deal. Elaine, as much as I, is responsible for what you see & hear here. I guess I could break it down, piece by piece, and tell you Elaine wrote this, I wrote that. Just as a sample, I wrote the Fort William Henry: Siege & Massacre piece in the History Section. I think Elaine did ALL the rest, other than the photo galleries. Musings are 50/50. Interviews were a good mix. Elaine used to do most of the Eric Schweig stuff. I did the Script. She does the art. I do the layout, navigation, & technical stuff. She did most of the Off The Beaten Trail stuff. One thing in there, the "From The Mohicans Land ..." thing, was co-written. If you've been paying attention, you can probably tell who wrote what parts of that. I, probably more aggressively, seek out content; establish relationships. She, though, burns the fires. I do the Gathering Pages, for the most part. We both do the Trading Posts, though it's more her work than mine. I don't know WHO does the Automatic Spirit Writing, thank God! We overlap greatly. Sometimes, one gets an idea, the other develops it. There is no cut & dry distinction between "duties." It just happens. One thing is for sure, without Elaine, this place would be a far cry from what it is. I'm glad she's here!

: I'm going to make a separate post in a bit ... this warrants its own space!

: One other thing ... WHO the f-ck IS Ilse?!?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Well, as to the question of 'What do you say when you've nothing to say?', well, all *I* can say is, as usual you said it very eloquently, in your own inimitable style! :o)

Thank you for keeping us 'up to speed'! Update and coffe, it's an unbeatable combination on a Sunday morning!

Hope you feel much better, very soon, Rich.

Kate
You wouldn't be letting Elaine slave away preparing Sunday Lunch, while you 'tinker', would ya'?!! :o) Take care, both!

Kate.
