: : : : : I have been searching endlessly for a hardback version of Follow the River by James Alexander Thom as a gift for my brother.  He had one, loaned it to someone, never to be seen again.  If anyone out there has a copy for sale, or knows where I may obtain one, please notify me at mbarkey@bellatlantic.net.  Thanks to all who help.

: : : : Couldn't pass up your post - Thom is at the top of my list of favorite authors, and Follow the River is my favorite of his books!  I would love to have a hardback copy, also.  So if you find more than one, please let me know!  I've been told at book stores that his older books are pretty impossible to find in hardback; but since he's from Indiana (where I live) he may be more popular around here than other areas.  Good luck in your search!

: : He lives in Owen Co. on land where he grew up.  He and his wife Dark Rain (Shawnee) live in a log cabin that he moved from land nearby - took it apart piece by piece and reconstructed it without any modern equipment.  He used to teach at IU in Bloomington.

: Ahh, okay. That's why I used to see him around here. Explains why it's been awhile. I thought he was more local. Neat about their home. They are not only quite congenial, but they make a stunning couple - his wife is absolutely gorgeous!
