: : Poor "old" Doctor Mary! She's been having a rough go of it, of late, and yesterday things got worse ...
: : She slipped & fell at work, breaking her wrist & a bit of her face. The doctors, after two unsuccessful attempts at resetting the wrist, are opting for surgery. This will put her out of commission for about 2 months. Not to mention a horde of unhappy Hurons!!!
: : We get this info through her employer at the library in Pittsburg. As that is the Doc's sole source of Internet access, we might not be hearing from her till after the Holidays. She, however, would probably LOVE to hear from us!
: : If we are successful in getting her hospital address, we'll post that here for you. If not ... we'll figure another way!
: : Poor, poor, pitful Doc!
: Dear Sachem,
: On beehalf of myself and the entire Calm Bee Nation, please convey our best wishes to Doc M. I have warned her many times about checking the floors for drool before chasing good looking hunks through the library stacks, but she never listens.
: The Calm Bee Nation is busy taking up a collection for a pair of industrial tread running shoes for Doc M, in the hopes that they will prevent further accidents. Due to the advanced season, we cannot gather the usual spectacular bouquet of flowers; however the Pirate Bees will be visiting the hospital with a large jug of Honey Mead to assuage her pain. Gore Bee (who is always arushin') sends his wishes for a speedy recovery.
: Dr. Markus Well Bee
Still snorting coffee all over the screen after reading the Gorbee pun (yes, I'm a pun fan...into PUNishment...send me to the punitentiary...) ...but oh no! Poor Doc M! Hoping to receive her addy very soon to send some get wells her way!
Meanwhile, Red is getting together a care package complete with a special Doc M-sized flagon of Glenlivet and squeezins...GUAR-ON-TEEEED to numb the pain. The Huron Delivery Boy is saddlin' up to head to Pittsburgh any minute now...
If Doc M gets wind of any of these greetings, you're in my thoughts and prayers...
