: Danalee,
: Your point is noted. I don't believe that Seamus, Davey and myself, the good Dr. Uncle, Flags, Tales, Uncle Quasi (oh, you know...all those fine people!!!) think of themselves as wanna be writers....we just enjoy making up some exploits, like a lot of the other characters in Mohicanland, and tying them in to actual 18th century history. This tie to actual history is VERY important to us, for as I stated before, we want to educate and entertain. I suppose we do go on and on and on....sometimes.

In defense of the MacWilliam Chronicles, I have to say that for the LONGEST time I didn't realize that they were fiction, assuming from the content and style that they were posts of actual correspondence from the era! (OK, you can stop laughing now...its just that this Board is sometimes just a little too real for us 18th century wannabes!) Because the Chronicles, as well as other threads on this Board have ignited the spark, I have gone on to reseach many aspects of 18th century history, music and literature....and added a roomful of 18th century costumes to my inventory as well. For that I thank all of you...especially Rich and Elaine...for adding so much richness to my life. And no matter what anyone says, I will still continue to believe that the MacWilliam gang is transmitting their letters from the 18th century to our present one.

Lady Ann
