My Dear, Long Lost Mohicanite Family,

I am sure you thought I have long since died at the hands of those Scoundrels, the French. I have not. I have been tied up closely with supplying, as a Trader does, those doing battle in the North, along the Hudson and the lakes.

Let me, now that I am AT LAST snug at home with a nice fire and some hot turkey soup and red wine, wish you all the very best for a Happy and Blessed New Year.

I have missed you all but you have been in my heart and my mind always, every day! I am thrilled that you are still thriving and I look forward to seeing you all in the coming year!
