: You must be loyal in reading those sub-titles! When Duncan translates Hawkeyes words into French, he changes it to take him (Duncan) instead. Hawkeye doesn't know he changed the words, causing the confusion when they begin to take Duncan away. NightSky

AT THE EXPENSE OF SOUNDING VERY IGNORANT, BUT BEING A NEWCOMER, I GUESS I'M ALLOWED:) DUNCAN NEVER TRANSLATED THOSE LAST WORDS OF HAWKEYE'S. WHEN THEY WERE STARTING TO TAKE CORA AWAY, DUNCAN ALREADY OFFERED HIS LIFE, BUT THE INDIAN CHIEF DIDN'T DO ANYTHING...THEN WHEN HAWKEYE OFFERED HIS LIFE AND ASKED DUNCAN IF HE WOULD TRANSLATE IT, DUNCAN SAID 'YES'. THE INDIAN CHIEF NODDED HIS HEAD, WHEN DUNCAN HADN'T EVEN TRANSLATED WHAT NATHANIEL SAID YET. SO, IT SOUNDS RATHER CONFUSING TO ME. WELL, I THINK I WILL GO AND READ THE SCRIPT NOW..AND THEN WATCH THAT SCENE AGAIN
