: "can you send me some more stuff on lenape, delware indians,if not thanks any ways."

: "Could you give me some facts on music, songs and dances, and poetry?!?!"

: Just a sampling of the weird stuff we receive each & every week. We STRONGLY suspect lots of it comes from the same source.

: Hi ALL!

: The rumor is true! "The Last of the Mohicans" WILL be re-released on DVD. From DigitalBits ... "Now then... how about some Fox news that IS true? We've confirmed the 6 DTS DVD titles that the studio has on the way for December and January respectively (three each month). Look for Predator, The Siege, Courage Under Fire, The Thin Red Line, The X-Files: Fight the Future and The Last of the Mohicans, all in anamorphic widescreen and all with dual Dolby Digital and DTS sound. Cool no?"

: Cool ... YES! No further details.

: We've been updating throughout the Site, as some of you may have discovered, over the past months ... lots of new goodies & looks scattered about, including our new affiliation with The History Channel. Look around! We've got new Musings, illustrations, News & Notes, "crap" for sale, etc!

: Speaking of the "crap" we sell ... The 2CD set I mentioned last week has several takers, but so far not enough ... contact us via e-mail if interested. To answer one question, the ES footage IS from the pre-Raffle proceedings at the '99 Gathering. I should emphasize that's not the focus of the CDs, and it runs only a couple of minutes ... just an excerpt.

: Coming REAL soon ... an "illustrated" script, courtesy of Joy Landry, in .pdf format that will be downloadable from the Site.

: So ... in regards to "Melissa's" query during the week regarding Eric Schweig ... barking up the wrong tree, I'm afraid. Done with that. HOWEVER, we were planning to reinstitute the Eric Schweig Gallery, in condensed form, and have done just that. Why? I guess because we wanted to. We worked hard at it; it was a nice enhancement to the Site; and we originally took it down, after severing our ties, to prevent other, less scrupulous, sellers of "crap," from using our efforts for their gain. At this point, frankly, we don't give a damn. Perhaps peer pressure will force the high road; perhaps not. At any rate, for the Eric Schweig fans who are NOT complete and utter A--H----, we put 'em back up. Often we get inquiries from real fans and this is our attempt to accommodate. The Gallery is not prominently linked to within the Site, other than the Table of Contents ... and at the end of the ES Interview.

: Moving on ...

: Congrats, once again, to friends Caitlin & Jeff, and to Summer, on the arrival of their new little ones!!! And, to our own movie star, Eric Hurley, and bride-to-be, Sharon Cagle, on their impending Nuptial Agreement ... Oct. 21, 2000.

: WooooHoooo! Oh yeah, 2001 Calendar, anyone???? Dana & Adele ARE waiting!!!! :)

: Thanks again to Mike (Seamus) for the continuing March on the Delaware Indian Village of Kittanning saga & to Doghouse Rooks for, well, can't say right now, but all you 2000 Gatherers know ... TBA!

: Come the 15th of October, or thereabouts, we'll be bigger & better & more multimedia-capable. Will begin offering streaming video clips of various things shortly thereafter.

: And, from the more positive E-mails we received this week, we'll leave you with this ...

: Happy Trails!

: "I just want to thank you both for all your hard work, dedication and
: entraprenuial spirit in capturing the data about the film and filming information.
:
: While I've lived on the coast for nearly 30 years, I grew up in the mountians
: of NC. Lived in Black Mountain and took my nurses training at the old Memorial Mission
: Hospital School of Nursing. I have never forgotten my roots and dearly love my
: mountians and have regretted moving away. While watching the film on TV recently,
: as I had not heard about it earlier I kept saying I know that scenery, I know that was
: filmed in NC but credits rolled at the end were unreadable so I bought the video and
: evidently that lead me to your web site.
:
: Thanks again for all you've done and are doing to bring a little of my "HOME"
: into this flat land!! Even if it's only on the computer or in a book."

This past Saturday, I wore my brand spankin' new CafePress MohicanLand shirt to a morning class and errands. I had THREE people say, "Hey, I LIKE that shirt". One of those girls, who was taking my money for the gas I had just pumped, at first just kind of looked at me like "What the heck?", then when she read the first few lines, she got this BIG grin on her face, realized what it pertained to and said the I like your shirt thing and then, "Where do they sell those, I LOVED that movie?" Of course, I proceeded to tell about this leettle bitty website that had a thing or two on that movie and that she could get a shirt from there. As I was walking away, she says "Now that was m-o-h-i-c-a-n-p-r-e-s-s, all little letters?" as she's writing it down. Hope she visits!

Those sort of experiences just tickle me!!!! Its so neat to see the change in their faces when they realize they get the reference, like when you fiqure out a particularly cryptic license plate (of course some, never get there, oh well).

See,.....I love ALL this crap you guys are forcing on us! MORE CRAP, PLEASE!!!!!!!

And thanks Rich and Elaine for putting Eric's carving photos back up. Even though, he was never my favorite cast member, I always enjoyed his artwork and kind of missed perusing them from time to time.

Have a good week all!!
Diana
