The blue cap/megaphone can be seen, as far as I know, in all versions ... it's just that you HAVE to be looking, or it just slips right by, unnoticed. The silver busses cannot be seen in the original video release ... you need the widescreen THX VHS, the laser disk, or the DVD to see that particular shot.
A long time ago, someone sent us a screen capture of the blue cap. Seeing it might help ...
