She Who Tracks Leaves Tracks in the Friggin' Snow

: After several definitive snowstorms, one right after the other, She Who Tracks crawled out of her cabin this morning to find herself up to her buckskined thighs in the white stuff. Mutterin' and cussin', She plowed her way around the cabin, knockin' icicles off the eaves and earnestly hoping the roof wouldn't cave in under the weight of the snow.

: Havin' used the stringing in her snowshoes to mend her buckskins on the long trek back from the George Road, She decided there was no way she could bring home any venison for dinner. The best solution was to get herself and Hector up to Bumppo's Tavern for a hot meal and a tot o' rum. The snowdrifts bein' high as they are, She started to tunnel, figgerin' it was the most direct route. She hasn't been seen since. Hector apparently declined to go out in the nasty weather, since he is still curled up by the fireplace, sound asleep.

: Anyone having a clue as to where She might have tunnelled to, please contact Sheriff Twigg at the Town Hall. Thank you.

Good morning, Sheriff Twigg. And a Happy New Year's Eve to you. We certainly have had more than a fair share of snow in Mohicanland this Christmas season, haven't we? Thank goodness Dweebie was able to shovel a path from my house to the Town Library for me. By the way, I was over there last night checking to see that the snow hadn't blown in through the crack in the ceiling again, and I heard some very suspicious noises in the Archives. There was all sorts of thumping and bumping, and I could have sworn I heard a SNEEZE! Being just a fragile, elderly, but none the less somewhat attractive (simper, simper) lady, I hesitated to investigate by myself and hurried on home. If you have the time this afternoon, might you check into it, please? I would be Soooo grateful, dear Bent.
