: Merhabaaa, ET!
My dear sister Leyla told me that you two have been corresponding again! I am pleased, indeed! And yes, yes, card reading! She is good, my dear, she is good. In fact, just the other day, I was amazed (not to mention, shaken) at how one of her divinations have come true... Here is the (true) tale: way back, in fact, 6 years ago to be exact, she had looked in the cards of a cousin of hers, and had declared: one day, you will divorce A. (to whom he'd been married at the time) and will wed or come very close to wed, someone who's name begins with a Z. After having made this declaration, Leyla had promptly forgotten about it. It all came back to her when a lady named Z. (yes, Z!,) who's the soon-to-be Mrs. Cousin, told her about it! (She has heard it from the mouth of the cousin, of course, who, too, after hearing the divination, had forgotten about it, until all came back to him while filing separation papers from A.)
Allah! Now, what on earth had made Leyla come up with the initial Z.? She can't tell. But after some hard thinking, she did remember the day she had read the cards of the cousin, and somehow received the image of the letter Z. 6 years ago.....
Dear ET... this begs the question: Who and what runs our lives? Pre-Ordained Kismet or Man-Made Free Will?
Not that Leyla is a fool-proof psychic. There are times when she wants to soothe a troubled soul and then the cards reflect the empathy she feels for the querent. Meaning, it is hard for her to read the cards of a friend. Unless she is asking the cards to give a hint as to the outcome of a trip, voyage, business venture, or... anyhow...
Strange.
Yes, ET, we shall exchange smoke signals and carrier pigeons, and I WILL warn Leyla to stay clear of the FT.
May the New Year bring you all the love, light, and laughter you can handle!

Yours truly,
Ali, The Turkish Trader whom you bested in the drinking race at Gotham's Grand Central Horse Station.

The cousin, months aMy Dear, dear TT!

: How lovely to hear from you!! I did indeed receive your smoke signals that you were on the Island of Manhattan but it was too late. Oh that I had joined you at Agora with Jihan the Beautiful. What fun!! And I'm in need of having my cards read!

: If you pass this way again, please give me forewarning!

: And above all else, avoid that whiley French Trader!

: I remain, as always,
: YMH&OS,
: ET

: :
: : Selam-un-Aleykum, ET!
: : Good to see you back! Hosh geldin!
: : Imagine, while on my last night out in Gotham City, I and 4 other Turkish friends, dined at Agora, listened to Jihan, and invoked your name while toasting the Delights of Life with Raki!!!!!!!

: : Have a very happy lucky New Year.
: : Leyla, The Turkish Trader

: : To My Dear Sir RichFed,
: : : Thank you for the report on this interaction. It is nothing less than what I would expect from that Scoundrel, the French Trader, who weasels his way into the company of any and all without regard for partisan lines. But I would not expect to see the Dutch Trader sharing the pipe with ET. Turncoat!

: : : Well, the ET is BACK, and is going to swat that FT back into place!

: : : I remain YHM&OS,
: : : English Trader

: : :
: : : : Courier reporters are everywhere! And a good thing for that!

: : : : English, Turkish, Huggy ... and other Traders ... BEWARE! There are real TRAITORS in your midst! Plotting. Scheming. In the darkness of the forest. The market will be cornered, if not careful.

: : : : The proof's in the puddin'!

: : : : Question: What's in the pipe?
