: This is going to sound really bizarre but please bear with me...after my recent VERY wonderful excursion to Asheville for Christmas (saw Diana S. there one night and we explored Celtic shops and more!!!) a friend and I are planning on making a "writer's retreat" to Asheville for us and some of the people in the writer's group I belong to. As a result, we're trying to ferret out every restaurant/venue of interest. I remember in Mark Baker's essay about working with Daniel and etc. during the training for the movie, all these people from the movie were constantly eating at some place referred to as the "Cafe on the Corner." Does anybody know exactly what restaurant that referred to or if that was actually the name of the place??? Any info mucho appreciated.
: Also for all those Celtic lovers on the Board, next time you're in the fair city, make sure you DON'T miss Jack Of the Wood tavern. I forget what street it's on, but it's above the Laughing Seed vegetarian restaurant and is a beautiful, VERY clean Irish/Scottish style venue with plenty of Guinness and Celtic music.

Christina,

I'm think that it's "Cafe on the Square" and it's on Pack Square. I haven't eaten there in a while but they used to have the most wonderful squash soup!
