I can understand...it is probably akin to me trying to get teachers in my school district to study the works of John Dewey, Rousseau, Wm.Torey Harris, Pestalozzi, Hegel, etc. Most people think we are to put blinders on and never explore other parts of the literary and educational world. Remember what Auntie Mame said?? "Life is a banquet and most SOBs are starving to death!"

Huzzah for James Fenimore Cooper!!

It's like all these people who go to Robert Burns Night celebrations and not one of them has ever read "Tam O'Shanter" or "To a Mouse" or "The Cotter's Saturday Night". How dare they celebrate a man's life without reading his works to understand his life's philosphy. ARGGHHHHHHHH! (As I grab Sgt. MacWilliam's dirk and begin to flail the air screaming, "Death to ignorance!!")
