Hi Dee!

If I remember correctly, it was loosly based on a true story, but I'm not sure if there was ever a book written about it. If you check out the Michael Greyeyes fan site, have a look in the archived messages on their board. There were a number of posts about this topic. Seems the true account was vastly different than what was portrayed in the movie. Then again, that's Hollywood for you!
