Greetings LOTMers:

I thought you might be interested in a bit of history on film, including (but probably hard to find) your own Seamus, Malcolm, Timothy, Pvt. Chauncey, Clabert, and more....

A film unit from PBS was filming the F&I Grand Encampment the past two summers at Fort Ti. Following the battle this past summer, they found several of us Rangers ( (including myself)) for shooting some close-ups of people firing their muskets and dying. Later in the summer, they were again at Fort Ti for the Rev War event, taking close-up stills of faces. We talked, as they recognized me from the F&I event, and they informed me this was for PBS and that it would be broadcast in March.

The first broadcast will be Friday March 2 on Mountain Lake PBS (http://www.mountainlake.org/mlpb.htm), which is the PBS station in the Fort Ti area (based in Plattsburg and covering, I'm told, the Montreal area also). After this debut, other PBS stations will get to see and may (or may not) broadcast it also.

It is being advertised as "Then Again: Reliving History @ Fort Ticonderoga". You might want to look for it. If you can tape it, I'm sure folks will be begging for copies (especially some of us Rangers, wink wink nudge nudge).

The film crew didn't know how widely it would be broadcast, so the rest of you will probably want to search your local PBS listings for awhile, or phone them (but it might be awhile before it happens), or check out http://www.pbs.org where you can find your local PBS listing.

A couple of us have a contact name and will try to get more information, now that we know it is actually coming out, and will pass that on when we get it. If anyone actually sees it or tapes it, PLEASE let me know.

Thanks, and happy viewing!

Pvt. Chauncey Goodrich,
Rogers' Rangers

(PS - The great irony: The first year reenactment event I ever saw was Fort Ti '99 and I was cursing the film crew for being in the way of my otherwise perfect photos of YOU all in action; in '00, I was in the other end of the lens when they filmed the battle and then filmed us after the battle!)
