When i worked at M&M Mars Co. peanut processing plant in Albany, Ga.(1971) the trick was to eat the peanuts as they came out of the drier, or right off the end of the roaster. We processed the peanuts that went into all the Mars candies (M&Ms, Snickers, Combo Munch Bar, etc.). The peanuts were never "mushy" from the drier......they just lacked salt!
