: When i worked at M&M Mars Co. peanut processing plant in Albany, Ga.(1971) the trick was to eat the peanuts as they came out of the drier, or right off the end of the roaster. We processed the peanuts that went into all the Mars candies (M&Ms, Snickers, Combo Munch Bar, etc.). The peanuts were never "mushy" from the drier......they just lacked salt!

Now now, you two! Every Southroner knows that the BEST way to eat peanuts is stuffed down the neck of a tall cold bottle of RC Cola...chased with a tasty Moonpie! (Hmmmm...appetizers for the Potluck perhaps?)
