Rich:
Congratulations on getting the FBI involved. Even though it really didn't affect me, I love this site and really get angry when people with no morals or ethics think they can do whatever they want. Sometimes I wish I was Magua and could take care of these hackers myself, but then again, then I wouldn't be able to join you all at the Gathering and see my hero first hand.

Ros

P.S. I hope they catch the Bas___ds and go something really nasty to them.

: Maybe a couple of you knew way back when of our tentative plans to have a "Mystery Guest" attend the 2001 Great Mohican Gathering. I know a few more knew as the plans & ideas evolved over time. Probably, several more guessed who it it might be ... after all, we did leave several clues. As of this past Friday, everyone already attending the Gathering knows ... Now, we'll just plain announce it to anyone who cares to read this:

:
: The man of "Mystery Men" is our "Mystery Guest." Yep, none other than LOTM's Magua, Mr. Wes Studi, along with his wife & child, will grace us with their presence for TWO days at the Great Mohican Gathering.

: The details, and plea for help that is sorely needed, can be found by clicking on the link that will follow this message ...

: Still another man, with his wife & child, is going to be attending the Gathering this year after all, and that man is tomorrow's birthday boy himself, Clabert. Good to officially have you aboard!

: We've had this little problem taking place over the past week. Rememember our "pagejacking" escapade of, what was it? Two years ago? The one with the porn links? Well, now someone, apparently, decided to somehow send out bulk e-mailings, from our server - with our return address - to thousands of AOL users. These mailings were comprised of sex sites and on-line gambling casinos. We became aware of the problem because thousands of e-mails, undeliverables, were being returned ... to US! Then, we began to hear from people who actually received the mailings, asking us, in not so pleasant terms, to remove them from the mailing list. This is the price we pay for being "visible," I guess.

: Anyway, after our Board was hacked just prior to the last Gathering, I made myself a vow - If ever we were fuc-ed with again, I was calling the Federal Bureau Of Investigation. And that's exactly what I did. Lo & behold, on Thursday afternoon, promptly at 4:15 PM, as I returned home from work, I found myself sitting at my computer side-by-side with an FBI Special Agent, all the way from Charlotte! We poured over the e-mails & logs, and he left with all kinds of copies on floppy disks, including our cgi formmail script, for further analysis. We are sick and tired of idiots thinking they can do whatever they want regardless of who they attempt to trample. For now on, EVERYTHING we suspect of being of a malicious nature gets forwarded right to this guy.

: So, that's the big news in these parts.

: I don't know who's even interested in this stuff, but here goes anyway. Top Accesses fo March:
