Raestown Stockade Infirmary

It took most of the day, but Malcolm has been found. The whole Regiment was mustered out before daybreake and set out to search the area around the Stockade. First Section was sent into the village in case Malcolm wandered in that direction. Second section was assigned to the woods north and west of the Stockade. From time to time we could hear strange music and singing faintly in the distance.

By mid-afternoon we had located him. Malcolm was skipping down a path with a bundle of wild flowers in the crook of his arm, playing his flute with his nose and singing a song in German. He was wearing nothing but his shoes, belt, sporran, and dirk..........such a sight. He did not recognize any of us, but kept babbling in this German tongue. After restraining him and getting a kilt around him, he was brought back and taken straight to the infirmary.

Many Flags and ThreeTales could not even understand the German that Malcolm was uttering, so the Captain called for Matthias Goersch to be dispatched to translate. Malcolm, all the while, continued to babble, although we had taken his flute so he wouldn't injure himself. After listening for sometime, Matthias deciphered enough of Malcolm's speech to tell us that he was singing about a "yellow brick road"; talking to a Wizard; and chaseing little people from Munich!! And we all want to know........."who the Hell is Toto"??

First Sergeant Campbell is referring to Malcolm's malady as the "Dutch Fever", and that we must find a cure at all costs.
We have been told that our orders call for an excursion to Fort Frederick at the end of this month and further south to the Carolinas from there. Malcolm must be nursed back to health by then or be left behind.
