I finally got my reservations worked out. I'll be traveling 38 hours to get there, but I'll make it! Traveling to Alaska in the summer is the pits. I could have gotten to NC in a mere 15 hours, but they couldn't get me home again until sometime after July 20th. Now I just have to pack. Bill, I still have those Depends that I bought for you two years ago when I thought I could make that Gathering. I'll bring them this time. Two years older... I'm sure you can use them. I'm also bringing Alaska Native craft items for the raffle and Ariel's cabin, so y'all bring your money.
See you soon.
Chris

: For those of you attending, or thinking of attending, here's where we stand at the moment in our 2001 Great Mohican Gathering plans:

: * Wes Studi's plane tickets are bought & paid for ... and in hand.
: * We have a room paid for their accommodations, Friday evening June 15 - Monday morning, June 18
: * The movie theater is packed. We can accept no more requests for tickets, unless there are cancellations.
: * More than likely, and more due to time considerations than anything else, we probably will NOT run the DVD edition of LOTM at the theater. It'll probably be the theatrical trailer, the theatrical release, and a talk & Q&A with Wes.
: * At the present time, and not counting Wes & family or the musicians, we expect about 88 folks to be attending this Gathering ... give or take. That could change, as there are a few folks waiting in the wings.
: * Barrett Taylor, last year's bagpipe minstrel may be among us, as a bonus!
: * Basically, everything is in place & ready ... permits worked out, etc. All we need are for the dates to arrive ... and some good weather!
: * It's now less than 2 months away. PLEASE make sure any checks not sent out yet are in the mail soon ... REAL soon! Again, there's still room for more at The Geneva, and our 18th century-style concert has plenty of room on Friday night!

: See you all ...
