Well, this be true, but for those not believing in Fairies, I will be well armed while we are trekking on all the woods trips. And another thing to remember is, you don`t have to out run the bear, just someone else in the group! Hahaha :) But seriously, I`ve camped in these mountains many times and there is nothing to be worried about. Just the sound of a large group like ours will warn off any critters in the area. Most of them would rather not be seen, then cause trouble. But again, I will step between any of you and a bear, should one show up. Now I don`t know if this should make you feel better or make you more affraid! Hahahaha

: Heard tell that there's BARS in dem thar hills!? 'Tis true, the Linville Gorge Wilderness area IS a Bear sanctuary. Pisgah National Forest, up north of Asheville, where we'll be a-visitin' The Elk Hunt & Tracking The War Party locations, too, is habitat to the bear. BUT ... do not fear. We've enlisted the aid of one of our very good friends ... MISTER Dweebie Day-Poe, Fairy Extraordinaire! We ARE protected!

: Won't go into all the Gathering fuss right here ... suffice it to say, all's well. We sent out a rather detailed e-mail to all Gatherers last night, which was added to by the appearance of the Annual Mighty Mohican Mama's "What To Bring" List. Those two dispatches ought to tide your Gathering Cravings over for just a bit! At least till Diana S. arrives on the scene!

: Finally! I've spoke of this often, and it's at last done ... We added an account of Braddock's Defeat to our History Section ... a live link off of our French & Indian War Hot Spot Map! Speaking of which, any one out there want to take on the Battle of Quebec ... where "our own" General Montcalm meets his untimely demise? Anyway, please check out the new addition at your leisure. You'll find some remarkable parallels to our favorite story!

: And ... are you SURE you have nothing to contribute to the "Companion Guide"? Last call ...

: It's a beautiful start to the Memorial Day Weekend, here in Mohicanland. Do take a moment or two to reflect upon all the brave Warriors who have given their lives so that we can be here today goofing off!
