: : : I found this board after reading JFC’s books, (Deerslayer and LoTM), to discuss these and the period history, but I have been thoroughly impressed with your enthusiasm for the movie and have vicariously enjoyed the gatherings.    

: : : It seems some are talking about the gathering as being the last, and that would be a shame, as I’m afraid interest in this page might wane as well.  It also seems that you are yearning to become a re-enactor’s society, dedicated to the period, (while, of course, keeping your love for LoTM at the forefront) …. Why not do so?  
: : : You do such a fascinating job in your correspondent reenactments on this page; it’s the next step.  It seems some here are eager to don the “wench and breech-clothe” look, and I’d bet the rest only need a good excuse. :-)

: Diana, October sounds like a possibility.  I'm off the entire second week.  I would have to make the trek without my dear husband (someone has to work, you know) but he's a very wonderful and understanding man.  So, perhaps?
