Diana, your post made by day, and then some! The reward I feel from positive feedback is the greatest reward of any we receive through this web site. It is what keeps the juices flowing.
I know I've said this before - many times - in various fashions, but the most disheartening thing of all is looking through the access watch stats each day & seeing only a couple of clicks on a link I'd posted here on the Board for people to see. You know, you spend all this time - and sure, thousands will eventually see, and we'll even receive e-mail from some of them - but it's always your family's recognition that you seek. So, when this "family" turns its back, it IS depressing. Conversely, when you manage to evoke a response, it is very rewarding ...
So, thank you many times over. Glad you found it; glad you let us know!
By the way, Fort William Henry has been soundly criticized, in many circles, for its poor interpretive presentation. We have too, to a lesser degree, for promoting the Fort. We strongly feel Tim has got things on the right track, and that a key F&I War site will soon be a place worthy of visitation. We are proud to associate ourselves with Tim & hope to assist the development of his program through our visibility. Seeing that through will also be a great reward!
Maybe someday you'll mosey over to our Braddock's Defeat article?? Sure, we'll wait!

He writes from just the perspective that I feel sometimes about historical sites, although I do not compare my passion for it to his. As I read his last installment where he referred to the Fort William Henry massacre as "the Pearl Harbor of the French and Indian War", I simply sloshed into a puddle. Thank God everyone in the office was already gone!
