: Don't remember if this one has been brought up before or not...but it came across my desk at the newspaper and thought it might be of interest.
: "The Wild Frontier: Atrocities During the American-Indian War From Jamestown Colony to Wounded Knee" by William M. Osborn. (Random House)
: It was published earlier this year (Jan.) and chronicles the various atrocities and battles committed by both settlers and Native Americans. The French and Indian War is not given as much treatment as you would think, the author's writing is not all that colorful and some of his writings and attitudes about Native American history and culture seem incomplete, but it is an interesting and thought-provoking look at what both sides did when it came to warfare.
: An interesting thing to have on the bookshelf.

Thanks for the tip, Christina. We've added the title to our bookshelf!
