"The Man Who Would Be King", perhaps?

I'm fond of Kipling, and a big fan of both Caine and Connery.

And I'm pretty sure I've seen part of this movie on television at some point, but I don't believe I've ever seen the whole thing.

: Ben,

: I’ve never heard of “Patriot” being accused of being any kind of an accurate depiction of…. anything. But I am trying to think of a recent movie where “Redcoats” have been portrayed in such a light that would lead one to believe that their efforts could enable their small nation, (what?, something less than 25 million people at that time), to come to dominate 2/3 of the world even with the loss of the American Colonies.

: Methinks the problem is that Imperialism is out of vogue in film, more so than some kind of Anglophobic conspiracy.

: But, yes… now I remember one of the best movies ever made… where two “Redcoats” account quite well for themselves. It was filmed in the mid 70’s, based off of a Kipling story. Anyone care to guess?
