: : My naivete stems not from some unworldiness...goodness knows, I've joined the Marines and seen the world in all its many varieties, orientations and tastes!...but from my constant, unbending belief that its inhabitants are basically good, and that if you look for the good in each of us you will most certainly find it. This, of course, requires looking beyond the bad...the occasional lapses of civility, the momentary breaks in sanity, the sporadic bad hair day...to which all of us (Doc Mary, TGAT Lainey and myself excepted)are subject from time to time. Dare I say it, I like everyone I've ever met in Mohicanland and no matter what tempests erupt, will continue to do so.

: My dear Lady Ann,
: I hope I have not offended you with my pitiful attempts at humor. The unusual turn of the conversation between you and Doc Mary caught me by surprise. I must say, I do enjoy occasional lapses of civility myself, and it is always a pleasure to read of those of others.
: I remain your humble admirer,

No offense taken here, dear Chris. It often happens that
posts between the ladies of Mohicanland can take startling
turns -- somewhere in the archives is a discussion about

taping a plastic bag under one's chin to avoid spitting
out beverages etc. upon one's keyboard when coming upon
an *unusual* turn in the conversation. Lady Ann and
myself accept your humble admiration with grace, as
befits us.
