: Hi, Scott -
It looks like Penelope found what she was looking for.

"The Gladiator" was a major event in the sword world. It inspired a resurgence of interest not only in things Roman, but, by association, in the already growing interest in matters "Celtic".

There is now a forum at Swordforum devoted exclusively to "ancient" weaponry.

Peter Morwood, one of the two active moderators at NetSword, is involved in a major project for televison on the "games".

Unfortunately, there's still not very much interest in the colonial period. LOTM has come up a time or two, mostly with regard to Russel Means' "nuclear warclub".

And "The Patriot", as well as LOTM, seems to be inspiring a growing interest in Tomahawks...

: I can't add a thing to the cadet's music search (though I see quite a few have offered appropriate pieces), but I thank you for the link. Pretty interesting discussions going on. Caught the one on 'Gladiator' & was pleased to see so many were pleased with the film.

: Elaine
