: : This is indeed good news. While reading this, I was taken back about three months ago (has it been that long?) remembering how beautiful this area is. I am so glad that we were able to go there and experience that. I hope to return some day.

: It's great to hear that this beautiful part of North Carolina is now safe from developers...so much of our state (South Carolina) has already been destroyed or is being threatened by them. Memories of the forest are still fresh in my mind as well...

Yeah, and Jim Anthony is FROM SC and has already done so much "scenery raping" in the Upstate. He was well known in that part of the state for such ridiculous developing of Lake Keowee and other Cliffs areas. When I lived in SC, one of my patient's husband worked for the man and detested him and his work ethic. What kind of guy can't even find loyalty in his own employees? But you're right, the whole state in under the gun and the coastal areas are just as threatened (of BOTH states). OOOOOOOOOOOh! This stuff sure gets my panties in wad!! Congrats sure do go out to the Friends of the Falls for accomplishing something I held little hope for. Such an outstanding outcome for a true treasure of our state!!!!!
