: : Some of you were privy; some of you weren't. It all depended upon whether or not you were on the 2001 Gathering list. I do not feel that it is necessary to rehash all the ugly details ... those of you who experienced it know the deal; those who didn't will just have to remain in the dark. No big deal, believe me.

: : Real quick, I took the Mohican Board down, etc., etc. on July 24 of this year. Events rapidly transpired prompting me to write a rather lengthy & pointed letter of "explanation." This is not to debate the merits of, or reasons for, that choice, but to simply clarify one point I attempted to make in that group e-mail.

: : In it, I mentioned being betrayed by someone that I had put much trust in. I didn't name the person because I didn't want to drag her into it; that I mentioned it at all was because I felt it added to the validity of my explanation. Made it easier for those who had no inkling to grasp the situation. That person, unjustly accused, was Kate Penman. 

: : Kate was a good friend to me, which is why [largely] I had confided in her in the first place. Things changed & twisted and I felt for sure that she was partly responsible for what had gone down. Circumstances dictated that belief. I was wrong. She wasn't. Kate, I now strongly believe, never violated my trust in any way that would be detrimental.

: : I just want to say that.

: : Kate is witty, intelligent, warm, & genuine. She gave of herself in ways that awed me at times. She was one of Mohicanland's brightest stars ... and I miss her.
