Ok ... so, I get another 15 minutes of fame as I make the front page of our local newspaper in an Anthrax-related story. One of my compatriots gets the original from the paper & doctors it. This remarkable photo of my long lost kin, Yosamma bin Fedahoocie, as the "artist" calls him, now hangs proudly at the Marion, NC Post Office - along side my "sister" - you may remember another doctored photo that appeared here, on this very Board, some time ago, courtesy of one MMMM??? Quite a place ... the Marion, NC Post Office! Be sure to include it among your "must see" Mohicanland places next time you're in the area!

Regarding the proposed Mohicanland Christmas Card ... no time is too soon ... send your stuff now! If I get the material, I'll put the card up. Even if all we get is the picture of Doc Mary wearing whatever it is she said she would wear (short term memory loss here!), the page goes up!

Looks like we've got enough volunteers to get the 2002 Great Mohican Gathering aloft ... still need some help in an area or two, but by & large, the manpower is there is get the ball rolling. Thank you to all who have volunteered their services. The 2002 Gathering Page has been updated accordingly.

Software's fixed, we totaled about 2000 visitors this past Monday - following A&E's showing of LOTM - sales increased significantly this week, and yesterday, Saturday, was one of the all time lows on this WWWBoard - one post, read by 12 people! Yikes! Yet, the overall site visitation was right at normal for Saturday. Of course, that "12" figure was not all that visited the Board, as many read various archived posts ...

Anyway, I wish to second Theresa's thoughts regarding Veterans' Day. There are many Vets-in-the-making, risking their lives right now as we frolic here, over in Afghanistan. Let's keep them, and all those who bravely came before, in our thoughts & prayers ... not just today, but always.
