Well, nothing like responding to your own post. Anyway, last night on FoxNews they reported a forest fire in NC in the Pisgah National Forest. WHAT!? This, of course, is sacred ground. I pulled the info up on the website and it seems the fire is in Madison County which is north of Asheville. The National Forest is sort of broken up into two sections, the one where we were and one closer to the Smokey Mountains near the Tennessee border. As bad as a forest fire is, I'm so grateful this one is not in our "neck of the woods".
