: Rich & Theresa,

: Speaking of Bin Laden, have you seen the latest video? Besides looking very gaunt, the most obvious information we can gather from the video is that he no longer has use of his left arm. Might be a smokescreen but I think he might be in them darn caves in Afghanistan. Blow them all to smithereens as far as I care.

: Guess I will also have to add Pearl Harbor on my to do list.

: Go Crimson Tide!

Thanks Vince. Speaking of Crimson Tide, did you happen to catch that movie?

: : I agree with you, Rich, about Braveheart. Powerful. And Osama looks like he's knocking on death's door. GOOD! Man, why can't we catch that scum?!

: : Happy New Year! Watching bowl games. Bama pulled one out last night (whew).

: : Talk with everyone later on. Bye!

: : : : : Finally bought the DVD last weekend & hope to watch the movie for the very first time. Did not get a chance to see it on the big screen. Oh well, win some & lose some. How does this compare to other epic movies (for example, Mel Gibson's Braveheart)?!?

: : : : Hey Vince,

: : : : We liked "The Patriot". Saw it both on the big screen and since on television. The story said to me that there was so much sacrifice made to build this country. And in light of recent events, I am more convinced than ever that we should do whatever is necessary to defend this great land and to stand by our beliefs. Enjoy.

: : : Interesting, Theresa. I, too, have the DVD [more for the subject matter than as a gauge of how much I liked the film]. I think it might be a good idea for me to re-visit it - post 9/11. It might add something. My son got me "Pearl Harbor" on DVD for Christmas. I had not before seen it, but in light of the attacks this past September, it really made an impact on me; more so than I imagine it would have if 9/11 had not ocurred. Wishful thinking! (Hey, Osama's lookin' pretty good these days, eh!? Ha Ha!}

: : : Vince, though I liked "The Patriot," it didn't really grab me as a classic [I did see it in the theater the first time]. I think "Braveheart" is far superior. "Braveheart" left me with a lump in my throat, as did LOTM, of course. "The Patriot" kind of just left me saying, "Yeah, I liked it, but ..."

: : : Somewhere, in the Archives of this Board, there are a couple of extended threads on the movie ... all kinds of reactions ...
